HALLOWEEN ~433 days old

After some serious pumpkin carving, a midmorning bath, and a good nap, we got Grae dressed and ready for her second ever Halloween day.

A sneak peak of our little owl family…

Just Like Papa ~431 days old

This morning Gracen found Papa’s hoodie and desperately wanted to put it on. She tried and tried again, but getting her head through the hole and past the hood was too tricky. With a little bit of help from Mama, she turned into a mini Papa in no time! 🙂

Sunset Halloween Party ~430 days old

Today we attended a baby and toddler Halloween event at Sunset, our local Community Centre. Bradley didn’t have to work until this afternoon, so it was a treat to be able to go as a whole family. Gracen had a great time. There were tons of kids and tons of activities to try. Here’s what she got up to:

Just Like Mama ~430 days old

Grae loves doing the things we do. Each day, she watches me closely as I get ready and then tries to mimic my actions. Whether it’s brushing her teeth, combing her hair, putting on her socks, or applying “pretty pretty pretty”, she is extremely focused on getting the job done just so. Today she found the scarf I had worn on an earlier outing and she worked tirelessly to get it wrapped around her neck just the way she wanted it. It looks good on her, doesn’t it?

Gracen Makes Me Giggle ~429 days old

Notice how she’s wearing a giant painting tank over top of her pajama shirt? That was all her doing. She selected it from the clean laundry pile and somehow managed to get her head and arms in the proper holes all on her own.

A Really Great Day ~428 days old

I really can’t complain about any of our days, but today was one of those days that was really great. Gracen woke up after almost 12 hours of sleep and came and snoozed in our bed for another hour and a half, we played and danced and read books, and Gracen was happy and independent for much of the day so that her Mama could get lots done.

Favourite Places ~427 days old

Today we visited two of Gracen’s very favourite places. First off, we stopped by a new library branch to check it out. To be honest, it was a bit of a disaster. Although she looks perfectly happy sitting in her stroller reading a book, the minute I took her out, she became a little wild woman. She was shrieking, yanking handfuls of books off of the shelves, and crawling under people’s feet at light speed. (Some days, a library trip is more of a two parent outing…) We quickly picked our books, checked them out, and headed for the door.
